Deanna and Jon’s Ace Hotel Brooklyn wedding was an incredible occasion to capture. As wedding photographers in the Hudson Valley, we always love to come back to this beautiful borough. Having lived in the city for a decade, our team loves to document special celebrations in the city. Their wedding in the downtown area is a beautiful example of all this hotel can do.
The couple each got ready in their respective rooms at the Ace Hotel. We love this location because the rooms are so unique, and feel like you’re in a well-designed apartment. For chic couples like Jon and Deanna, this is definitely the perfect place to tie the knot. The bride designed so much of the wedding, including the stationery and her hand-painted shoes and bag.
The couple’s first look took place in the Garden, just to the side of the lobby. This intimate event space invites couples to have a moment alone before the hustle and bustle of the big day. For an Ace Hotel Brooklyn wedding, we recommend renting this space for your photos. It’s the best spot to get some natural light and still use the romantic interiors of the hotel.
Family and wedding party photos took place in the ceremony space. Bathed in natural light, the windows of the space allow the opportunity to take your group photos in the daylight. We love this space when the lights are turned off, as it creates a very organic atmosphere. Our team of New York wedding photographers loves to capture events in this beautiful space.
We recommended that the couple keep the overhead lights off during their ceremony in the Studio. This created an authentic, natural feel to the moment that was blanketed in lovely natural light. If you plan to have an Ace Hotel Brooklyn wedding, be sure to schedule your ceremony during daylight hours. You’ll get gorgeous photos like Deanna and Jon’s lovely gallery.
The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s brother, making it an intimate and personal moment. Many jokes and great stories were shared. The couple initially met at a different Ace location, which made their day all the more fitting. Jon and Deanna laughed and teared up throughout the nuptials before their vows.
Cocktail hour took place in the Stoop, which features a stylish bar and green couches. Guests were able to enjoy food and beverages in this intimate setting while the couple worked the room. We love this stunning space prior to a reception in the Atrium. Between the two rooms, there’s capacity for anywhere between 100 to 200 guests depending on your event type.
Deanna and Jon’s Ace Hotel reception in the Atrium was a gorgeous event. This space is large and feels like a great spot to use as a blank canvas. Let the hotel bring your vision to life in this airy and beautiful event space. The couple focused on their guest experience and had a great time with dances, speeches, cake cutting, and a wild party.
As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we are always happy to capture weddings at this beautiful space. Deanna and Jon’s Ace Hotel wedding photography is seriously one of our favorite galleries from the year. We love these two and the amazing energy that they bring out in their photos. If you’re planning a gorgeous day like this, reach out and let us know. We’d love to bring out candid, authentic moments like these for your celebration.
