Lara and Dave’s lovely autumn Central Park engagement shoot had the most beautiful colors. The couple wore outfits that perfectly complemented the scenery. As New York wedding photographers, we are so happy about these gorgeous photos. They are the ultimate inspiration for a beautiful fall foliage session.

The Central Park engagement shoot started around Gapstow Bridge, featuring the light reflecting off the pond. The water was still and created a peaceful atmosphere. The ivy on the bridge was bright red, which went perfectly with Dave’s outfit. We can’t get enough of these inspirational images.
Dave and Lara were so much fun to photograph in the heart of Manhattan. They were so natural in front of the camera and we were able to capture their love and connection. As we walked through the park, we were constantly amazed by the changing views of the city. Plus, these two were so active and loved doing lifts, dips, and poses.
One special location during this session was The Mall. It is such a perfect spot to take photos on this tree-lined row. We had Lara and Dave do some poses with the leaves and we got some incredible photos. The changing leaves made for some stunning imagery. We definitely recommend this location for your fall engagement shoot in New York.

When it comes to comfortable engagement shoot outfits, Lara and Dave have it down. They wore clothes that made them look amazing and feel confident. They were outfits that can look great but aren’t too difficult to move around in. We love that they kept the color palette autumnal and beautiful.
Our biggest piece of advice is to get a great night’s sleep before your session. This will leave you well-rested and feeling good. Another tip is to focus on each other during the session. If you focus on each other during your Central Park engagement shoot, you won’t have to think about how to pose or what to do. We’ve got your back when it comes to posing.
Fall foliage usually comes around in November in New York City. The timing varies every year, but November is usually the best time to get foliage. You’ll get lots of colors and cooler weather. October doesn’t have as much foliage in recent years. We also recommend that you avoid weekends for your session, as they are incredibly crowded.

When booking your Central Park engagement shoot, look for a team that knows it well. We know this park like the back of our hands. We’ll guide you through the best locations for your shoot. Let us know what you’re thinking for your non-traditional, candid engagement photography in New York. We’d love to make some magic happen.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
