Melissa & Niket tied the knot in Brooklyn Bridge Park. One of the most beautiful places in New York City, this Dumbo elopement location has everything – a view of the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, and a beautiful cool breeze. We loved photographing this NYC elopement in Brooklyn with socially distanced guests and a lovely zoom ceremony.
Dumbo Elopement on NYC Skyline
This stunning summer elopement in New York started on Washington Street, with the Manhattan Bridge’s iconic NYC photo view. Washington Street is the best place to start if you have an early morning elopement. It may be a little crowded if you head to Dumbo in the afternoon for photos. But if you want that iconic Dumbo Instagram photo, Washington Street in the morning is the best place.

Melissa and Niket decided they didn’t want to wait any longer to have their wedding day. They got their marriage license and searched for elopement photographers in the Hudson Valley & New York. Though the marriage bureau is closed for typical New York courthouse elopement ceremonies, they made it work at one of the most beautiful places in New York.
If you plan to elope in Dumbo, Brooklyn, we recommend obtaining your marriage license a minimum of 24 hours before your ceremony. Given the current situation with Project Cupid, you may be receiving the marriage license at least 60 days before the wedding. That being said, the amount of time gives you the option to choose a beautiful elopement location in NYC like Dumbo, Brooklyn.
Where to Elope in Brooklyn, NY
Melissa and Niket were total naturals with the camera. They were ready to go when it came to posing – we had such a fun time photographing this up-for-anything couple! These two plan to have a destination wedding at a later time, but for now, their intimate wedding in NYC was the perfect compromise.
One of the best parts of eloping in NYC? It was a nearly stress-free process. When planning a Brooklyn elopement in Dumbo, the main vendors they considered were officiants and elopement wedding photographers. We’ve created an inclusive elopement package for NYC couples that allows them not only ceremony coverage but also portrait and group photo coverage.
On the big day, these two took advantage of the gorgeous spots around Brooklyn for their Dumbo elopement. Moving from Washington Street to Pier A, there were several elopement photo locations in New York, including Jane’s Carousel, the waterfront with NYC skyline, and more. You can’t get much more of an NYC wedding vibe than with photos in Dumbo!

The wedding ceremony itself took place on Pier A in Dumbo, where the ferry lets off. It is adjacent to the River Café, a gorgeous wedding venue in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Who needs 141 Worth Street when you can elope just across the river on the piers?! We were so impressed with this beautiful summer elopement in Dumbo.

You can start on the Brooklyn Bridge, move down Washington Street for the iconic Instagram wedding photo, head down the promenade to Jane’s Carousel, go to the roof of Time Out Market, and so much more.
