Josh and Alexandra got engaged on a blustery day in Brooklyn by the waterfront in Greenpoint. This special day took place with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop. When Josh reached out to plan his Transmitter Park proposal in Greenpoint, we didn’t know what to expect. It was so exciting to have someone choose a new proposal photo location in the city.

Romantic Transmitter Park Proposal Photography
Transmitter Park is a small pier in Brooklyn facing the NYC skyline. This intimate setting was perfect for a proposal, especially on a chilly winter day. It was a totally empty spot for these two to agree to forever. Plus, having their proposal in Greenpoint was important to their relationship because this park is somewhere they’ve visited quite a few times.

We waited out on the pier looking out for Josh and Alexandra to arrive. When deciding how this Transmitter Park proposal would happen, we agreed to show up early to choose the spot. Josh would then see us and know to head to the spot for the proposal. We chose a spot with a view of the Empire State Building and other iconic city landscapes.

As Brooklyn proposal photographers, it’s important to us to go over the plan ahead of time with the person popping the question. Since we had never done a Transmitter Park proposal before, it was important to be able to understand the lay of the land. The boardwalk itself is quite narrow, so if you’re thinking of a proposal in Greenpoint, consider doing it on a chilly day like this.
