It’s a totally underrated location, as long as you go at the right time. For example, a summer night is going to be much more crowded than a cold evening like this one. This allows for couples to have a little more breathing room.

We met up outside of Radio City Music Hall to get the iconic signage in the background. These two love Broadway, so for their New York engagement photography they wanted to have lots of lights and signs. Nearby we stopped for a few shots of this gorgeous couple.

The buildings were lit perfectly, and we took advantage of it during the entire evening. We love photographing at night because you get some really amazing light and shadows that make photos unique and different than daytime Times Square engagement photos. Even though the area did have some people around, it wasn’t nearly as crowded as usual.

Next we headed over to Times Square itself for some beautiful New York engagement photos. Night time makes this neighborhood light up in an iconic way.  These two did a great job being in love and having fun together. That makes getting photos so much easier, especially when it’s cold outside!

If you’re going to do Times Square engagement photos, this is definitely an essential spot. As NYC engagement photographers, we don’t come out here often but we love it every time.

The cold didn’t stop these two from being adorable and smooching throughout the whole evening. It was a great reminder that Times Square engagement photos can be done very well with just about any season, as long as you have the right pair of people.
