Kaitlin and Jacob’s Boscobel House & Gardens wedding was a day filled with beauty, love, and vibrant fall color. This Cold Spring celebration took place in one of the most scenic parts of the Hudson Valley, overlooking the river and mountains. Every detail felt intentional, from their getting ready locations to the heartfelt ceremony and lively reception. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we loved documenting their joy throughout the day.

The morning began at two special locations. Kaitlin got ready with her bridesmaids at a charming stone house Airbnb in Hopewell Junction. The old home had beautiful natural light and plenty of space for hair, makeup, and laughter. Meanwhile, Jacob got ready at their cozy home in Beacon, just a short drive from Cold Spring. Both were surrounded by loved ones, setting a relaxed tone for the start of their Boscobel wedding day.

After everyone was dressed and ready, the excitement truly set in. Kaitlin and Jacob made their way to Boscobel House & Gardens, one of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved venues. Despite a few timing hiccups, the day stayed perfectly on track. With efficient coordination and teamwork, we made sure portraits, details, and moments were all beautifully captured. The energy from family and friends made it clear this was going to be a celebration to remember.

Their first look took place on the terrace overlooking the Hudson River. This romantic spot at Boscobel House & Gardens is one of our favorite places for portraits. The grand estate house provided a timeless backdrop, and the soft light made every frame glow. When Kaitlin tapped Jacob’s shoulder, his reaction was pure joy. These emotional moments always set the tone for the rest of the day.

After the first look, we explored more of the grounds for portraits. The herb garden was bathed in golden light, with the apple trees perfectly ripe for fall. These details made their Cold Spring wedding feel so seasonal and personal. The couple’s natural chemistry shone through every photograph, and the property’s lush landscape added that extra touch of romance.

The sun began to dip lower, casting warm hues over the gardens. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we always look for this light because it adds depth and emotion to every image. We love how the combination of architecture and nature at Boscobel House & Gardens creates endless opportunities for timeless wedding portraits. This golden hour glow was pure magic.

Kaitlin and Jacob’s ceremony took place on the lawn, one of Boscobel’s most iconic settings. The gorgeous backdrop of trees framed the scene perfectly. Guests gathered beneath the trees as the Hudson River sparkled in the background. The soft rustle of autumn leaves made the moment even more serene.
When the ceremony began, emotions filled the air. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by family and friends. Their words echoed softly through the gardens, with the river in the distance. We love photographing ceremonies like this, where every image tells a genuine story. It is moments like these that remind us why we love Beacon-based wedding & elopement photography.

After the ceremony, guests gathered in the Forecourt for cocktails as the sun began to set. This charming space, framed by brick walls and shaded maple trees, created a cozy atmosphere. Guests mingled and enjoyed drinks as the sky turned golden. The mix of laughter, clinking glasses, and autumn air made this part of the Boscobel wedding especially memorable.

The reception took place under Boscobel’s elegant pavilion tent in the West Meadow. The tent features air conditioning, stunning lighting, and a terrace overlooking the Hudson River. It is ideal for celebrations of up to 250 guests, offering both comfort and grandeur. When Kaitlin and Jacob made their entrance, the room erupted in cheers and applause.

Dinner and speeches followed, bringing both laughter and tears. Parents and friends shared stories that reflected the couple’s deep love and sense of humor. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we focused on capturing the real emotions: the teary eyes, the shared smiles, the hand squeezes at the table. These are the moments that make every wedding unique.

Once the speeches ended, the dance floor came alive. The hora kicked off with energy and excitement, and the crowd did not stop dancing for hours. A disco ball sparkled overhead, casting light across the entire tent. This Boscobel House & Gardens wedding was full of joy from start to finish, and the atmosphere stayed electric until the very last song.

There is something truly special about photographing weddings in Cold Spring. The scenery, the light, and the calm atmosphere create a perfect environment for storytelling. Boscobel House & Gardens embodies everything couples love about the Hudson Valley: history, romance, and natural beauty. We always look forward to returning to this venue.
