Just a couple of days before his plan came to fruition, Chris reached out about proposing to Colleen. A few days before New Years Eve, he had decided that it was time to pop the question. As Beacon proposal photographers, we had to jump on the opportunity to capture this chilly moment. This DUMBO proposal was definitely one for the books.

Winter Proposal at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Taking place in late December, this day was about as cold as it gets. Chris had told Colleen that they were on their way to a brunch reservation after a fun morning at an art museum. He took her through a walk in the park and asked the question right then and there. Although it was cold, they definitely had warm hearts.

Chris Pops the Question for His DUMBO Proposal
He chose to take the photos in the morning because the park is at its emptiest. This is an area of the city that can get quite busy. Having as few people around as possible allows for a romantic moment that feels a little more intimate. Plus, no one can get in the background of the photos that way.
