Sarah and Andrew’s rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse was a delightful family affair that proved rain creates some of the most romantic wedding photos. Despite on and off rainstorms, the couple leaned in and adapted beautifully. Their flexibility turned what could have been stressful into something magical.

After getting ready in their respective spaces, Sarah and Andrew had their first look in the main ceremony space. The large windows provided lovely natural light, perfect for capturing their special moment. Rain streaked the windows outside, but inside everything felt warm and romantic.

One of the best things about a rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse is the abundance of beautiful indoor spaces. The venue’s floor-to-ceiling windows mean you never lose that natural light, even when you cannot go outside. Sarah and Andrew’s first look was just as stunning indoors as it would have been by the waterfall.

We took family and wedding party photos while the rain continued outside. The ceremony space with its industrial charm and gorgeous natural light made the perfect backdrop. This bought us some time for the skies to clear before taking couples’ portraits.

A rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse does not mean sacrificing variety in your photos. The exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and modern steel railings all provide texture and interest for portraits. Sarah and Andrew’s wedding party photos had that editorial, timeless quality that comes from working with the venue’s architecture.

When the sky finally cleared, we made the most of every outdoor location. We captured Sarah and Andrew on the Mill House lawn, by the brickworks, on the bridge by Beacon Falls, on the train tracks, and by the main Roundhouse hotel building entrance. The post-rain light was soft and romantic.
There is something magical about the light after rain clears. The clouds act as a natural diffuser, creating soft, flattering light that photographers love. Sarah and Andrew’s outdoor portraits had a dreamy quality that sunny day photos sometimes lack. The wet surfaces reflected light beautifully, adding depth to every image.

The indoor ceremony space at The Roundhouse is a photographer’s dream, especially during a rainy day wedding. The large windows allowed natural light to pour in, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Sarah and Andrew’s ceremony featured a gorgeous floral chuppah that glowed as the sun finally came out.
As they exchanged vows, the sun began to shine through the windows, making the ceremony even more magical. The timing felt like a blessing on their marriage. We captured every detail, from the intimate exchange of vows to the joyful expressions of their guests. These are the moments that make a rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse so memorable.

Rain on your wedding day is not bad luck. It is an opportunity for dramatic, romantic, and unique photos. The Roundhouse’s combination of stunning indoor spaces and covered outdoor areas means couples never have to worry about weather ruining their day.

Overcast skies create even, flattering light without harsh shadows. Rain adds texture and drama to images. And the relief and joy when the sky clears is palpable in every photo. Sarah and Andrew’s rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse showcased all of these advantages beautifully.
Once the ceremony concluded, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while we stole Sarah and Andrew away for more portraits in the clearing weather. The reception was full of energy, with guests dancing and celebrating late into the night.

The reception space came alive as the evening continued. The combination of warm lighting, delicious food, and great music kept everyone on the dance floor. Sarah and Andrew’s rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse ended with pure joy and celebration.
Sarah and Andrew’s celebration came together thanks to an incredible team of vendors who adapted seamlessly to the weather and made everything perfect.
The event was expertly planned and executed by Honeycomb Prince Weddings, who ensured that every detail was taken care of despite the weather changes. The beautiful floral arrangements, including that stunning chuppah, were created by Kraft & Company. Delicious donuts from Glazed Over Donuts added a sweet touch to the celebration.
Sarah looked stunning in a gorgeous dress from Kleinfeld Bridal and Maggie Sottero Designs. Andrew looked sharp in a classic suit from Brooks Brothers. The beauty team from Curled & Contoured created natural, effortless looks that held up beautifully despite the humidity from the rain.
As the day turned into night, the Atomic Funk Project provided the perfect entertainment, keeping guests dancing and celebrating all night long. The wedding cake from Katie Rose Bakery was both delicious and beautiful.

Do not let weather forecasts stress you out. A rainy day wedding at The Roundhouse can be just as beautiful, if not more so, than a sunny day celebration. The venue’s gorgeous indoor spaces, abundant natural light, and flexible layout mean your day will be stunning no matter what the sky does.

Sarah and Andrew’s wedding proved that rain creates romance. From their indoor first look to the sun breaking through during their ceremony to the magical post-rain portraits, every moment was beautiful. If you are planning a wedding at The Roundhouse and worried about weather, do not be. We would love to capture your day, rain or shine.
