Amy and Conrad’s stunning Wythe Hotel wedding was a dream come true for our team. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we are obsessed with this photogenic event space. With a mix of light and airy, and industrial vibes, this hotel is the perfect place for a gorgeous celebration. We also love getting to capture photos around the Williamsburg neighborhood for more lovely locations.
The day started with each half of the couple getting ready at their respective locations. Amy’s suite included light and colorful wallpaper, which made a perfect backdrop to their Wythe Hotel wedding photos. Light poured in from all sides with the enormous windows. On this windy, chilly day, these two decided to do a first look in the suite with the NYC skyline in the background.
This first look was a special moment, with Amy hugging Conrad from behind. We love when couples do something like this for a more intimate touch to start the day. When planning a New York wedding, you can’t go wrong with a Williamsburg hotel that overlooks the skyline. That’s why we loved this indoor first look before their ceremony and reception.
It’s such a beautiful moment when couples do a first look. We love to capture the raw emotions that take place leading up to the ceremony. It’s the last time a couple will spend time with each other before entering this next chapter of their lives. We love to capture the candid moments that come out of this. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, natural, documentary moments like these are our favorite.
We then went down to the Garden Terrace for more Wythe Hotel wedding photos. On the ground floor of the hotel, this space was prepared for ceremony and reception. Featuring red brick walls and an iconic patterned floor, this space is perfect for taking indoor photography on your big day. Even if it’s raining or too cold, this hotel is prepared for all occasions.
If you plan to do a first look like Amy and Conrad, you can get your family and wedding party photos done early, too. That way, you can enjoy cocktail hour and spend more time with loved ones. It’s so important to us as NYC wedding photographers that our couples enjoy their wedding day. We want to get the formalities done as soon as possible so that you can enjoy the rest of the day.
Located in Brooklyn, the location is perfect for wedding photography inside and out. We were lucky enough to bring the couple out for some shots on the street. The Wythe Hotel makes for a lovely backdrop, and is a slow street for crosswalk photos. We love when couples do outdoor photos in New York City as well because people will cheer them on as they pass by.
Back at the wedding venue, it was time for their ceremony. Hosted in the Garden Terrace, the ceremony was intimate and charming. At this Wythe Hotel wedding, guests gathered to hear these two read their lovely vows. Amy and Conrad shared heartfelt sentiments that echoed throughout the rest of the day. We were so happy to witness these two say ‘I do’ and share their love for each other.
After the ceremony, the cocktail hour took place. We loved the setup of both the cocktail hour and the reception. The Wythe Hotel is a great space for indoor photography, and the reception space is dark and moody. It makes for super beautiful images once the sun goes down. Plus, it’s a similar vibe to the industrial energy of the terrace, but more rustic.
Guests were thrilled by the food and beverage at the Wythe Hotel, which is always a plus. The staff and service were top notch. We were so happy to see that the couple had such a wonderful experience. It’s always a good thing to hear guests raving about the food at a wedding. That means the couple is in good hands.
Amy and Conrad danced the night away with their guests. When it comes to your dance floor coverage, we always tell couples to stay on the floor as much as possible. These two did not disappoint at their Brooklyn, NY wedding reception. During the planning process for your Wythe Hotel wedding photos, you’ll want to see what the space looks like during the day and at night. That way you can see the magic of this space once the lights go down.
The coordinator of this wedding was Events by Sheavonne. Amy and Conrad also had a band from Hank Lane to help guests tear up the dance floor. The incredible florals were done by Designs by Ahn. Hair and makeup were done by the Jekyll & Hyde Co. Amy and Conrad were so happy with the results of their Wythe Hotel wedding. Here’s what these two had to say:
“Megan and Kenneth were INCREDIBLE! We were afraid that it would be awkward posing for the camera throughout our engagement shoot and our wedding day, but as soon as we met Megan and Kenneth we instantly felt comfortable! They were very punctual, responsive, had great tips for candid shots, super friendly, and they sent helpful tips throughout our wedding planning. During our wedding, we almost forgot they were snapping pictures of us because it just felt like they were part of our wedding party. They were one of our favorite wedding vendors and we would HIGHLY recommend them!”
We can’t wait to come back for another incredible Wythe Hotel wedding. If you’re thinking of having your wedding at the Wythe Hotel, we would be honored to be a part of your special day. Reach out and let us know what you’re thinking. We can’t wait to hear from you.
