We kicked things off outside Rough Draft, a cozy coffee shop and bookstore in the heart of town. While they don’t allow indoor engagement photos, grabbing a coffee to-go made for the perfect casual vibe. Alex and Frankie were instantly at ease, sipping their drinks and strolling through the neighborhood together. Their Kingston engagement photos feel relaxed and real, just like them.

This town has no shortage of backdrops. From red brick to ivy-covered walls, there’s always something beautiful nearby. These two leaned into the process and didn’t hold back their personalities. Main Street Kingston, NY Engagement Photos

One of our favorite parts of any Kingston engagement session is photographing couples along the main street. The architecture and signage add a sense of place that feels so unique to the Hudson Valley. These two rocked coordinating New Balances and didn’t mind when we asked them to walk up and down the sidewalk a few extra times for the perfect shot. They brought a lot of fun to their session, and it shows in every frame.

Fun Engagement Shoot Location in Upstate New York

Toward the end of the shoot, Alex and Frankie changed into their baseball caps to bring more of their personalities into the session. It was such a great way to finish the afternoon. They were relaxed, playful, and a little sporty. We always encourage our couples to treat their engagement sessions like a casual date, and these two nailed it.
