Alexis and Kevin’s beautiful Box House Hotel wedding featured tons of elegant details throughout the day. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, it’s always an honor to capture special days in Brooklyn. Having lived there for nearly a decade, we always love to come back to this borough. This stress free wedding day was a perfect example of what it means to be in love and how to celebrate it.
These Brooklyn wedding photos featured a closed rooftop for their hotel ceremony. It was raining on this day before the sun came out for cocktail hour. These two leaned in and enjoyed the cloudy weather as they said their vows to each other. The Box House Hotel rooftop was the perfect spot for their romantic ceremony surrounded by family and friends. This venue is great for couples who want a quintessential NYC celebration.
They each got ready in their respective rooms at the hotel. They then met outside for their first look, featuring the vintage yellow cab. When it comes to a Box House Hotel wedding, you must capture the taxi for the full effect. We love this built-in prop that comes with the venue. Before walking down the aisle, we also got their wedding party and family photos done on the roof.
The couple’s review really highlights the fun and joy we felt as their New York wedding photography and videography team. We love to capture weddings in this borough and feel honored every time we come back to this wedding venue.
“Megan & Kenneth made sure that things went better than we could have ever imagined or hoped for. They were the friends, bodyguards, and cheerleaders we never knew we needed on our wedding day. We are not huge photo people, but we felt excited for all 2000+ photos taken on our wedding day. Their organization and direction relieved any stress that we were feeling about making sure everyone got a personal shot if they wanted one.
Aside from that, they made sure we were catered to throughout the whole event with beverages and constant check-ins. They blended into the crowd, so it never felt like paparazzi in our faces – the photos came out perfect and natural, exactly what we wanted! The wedding video was beyond anything we could have hoped for and the perfect way to look back on our day.” – Alexis & Kevin
Though the roof was closed for ceremony on the big day, we managed to grab some timeless images throughout the ceremony and reception. The bride and groom had a fabulous time dancing and laughing their way through their Box House Hotel wedding reception. We love to document these special moments in an authentic way to share in their love story.
