We were so thrilled with the lighting on this overcast fall day. Some people may think that rainy days aren’t ideal for photos, but we think the opposite. Overcast days are great for engagement photos because the lighting is very even. It’s not too harsh but it also isn’t dull either. You can see that all details are captured, without being too dark or bright.

We have a few favorite spots in Prospect Park to take wedding and engagement photos of our couples. One of the most beautiful spots is Binnen Bridge, with a small hidden waterfall. It’s tucked away near the boathouse so not many people know about it. But we think this area is so beautiful, especially in the fall with all of its changing colors.
