Lauren and Brittney’s micro-wedding at The Sagamore at Bolton’s Landing was a stunning summer celebration. This Lake George wedding venue offers beautiful views of the Adirondacks and plenty of space for guests to gather. With around 40 loved ones joining them, the couple created a wedding weekend full of joy and connection. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love venues that allow everyone to stay in one place.
The couple got ready separately with their closest friends and family in their rooms at The Sagamore. These spaces are comfortable and well-lit, which makes for great candid moments and detail shots. We moved easily between rooms to document both stories as they unfolded. There was so much love and excitement in every corner.
Lauren and Brittney shared their first look casually at the back of the property, keeping things relaxed. This quiet moment gave them a chance to breathe before the ceremony. From there, we explored the front and back of the venue for portraits. We love how many options there are for different backdrops, from manicured gardens to lakeside views.
We took family photos in front of the main building, which gives such a classic and timeless look. This location is perfect for capturing the grandeur of The Sagamore. The soft afternoon light added a beautiful glow to every image. Everyone looked so happy and relaxed.
Their ceremony took place on the hotel’s private terrace overlooking Lake George. This location gives panoramic views of the water and surrounding mountains. It’s peaceful, secluded, and perfect for an intimate ceremony. With their friends and family surrounding them, they said their vows in the warm summer breeze.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Morgan for cocktail hour. The Morgan is The Sagamore’s 72-foot replica of a 19th-century touring vessel. The boat’s upper deck is open-air and perfect for sipping cocktails while cruising. We love photographing couples and guests enjoying this part of the day… it’s so fun and unique.
The reception took place in the enclosed lower deck of The Morgan. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner while the sun set over the Adirondacks. The boat wedding reception created a magical atmosphere. The changing light on the water added warmth and depth to every photo.
Lauren and Brittney gave a heartfelt thank-you speech to their loved ones. It was personal and sincere, filled with appreciation for everyone who showed up. Afterward, they cut their cake and shared sweet smiles and laughs. The atmosphere felt joyful and effortless.
After dinner, the dance floor came alive. With a smaller guest count, it felt like a true celebration with everyone joining in. There was so much movement, laughter, and dancing packed into the boat’s cozy space. We love photographing micro-weddings with big energy.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains, we took Lauren and Brittney up to the deck for sunset portraits. The golden light and soft breeze made everything feel dreamy. These quiet moments gave them a pause to take it all in. It’s one of our favorite ways to close out a wedding day.
As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love shooting weddings at The Sagamore. The venue provides luxury, comfort, and unique experiences all in one place. Having guests stay on-site adds ease to the entire weekend. There’s something truly special about a destination-style wedding that still feels intimate.
The Sagamore’s property includes options for every part of a wedding weekend. From lawn games to elegant dinners, couples can host a full itinerary of events. The Morgan boat offers both brunch and dinner packages for up to 75 guests. Watching the Adirondacks glide by during a cruise is something guests never forget.
Lauren and Brittney worked with a dream team to bring their day together. Donna Connor from On The Go Wedding & Events coordinated the day. David Schmidt from Renaissance Floral Design created floral arrangements. Hair and makeup were done by True Beauty Company, whose team helped both brides feel their best. Music Man Entertainment’s Mike Garrasi kept the energy high on the dance floor. Their officiant, Matthew Psichoulas, led a heartfelt and memorable ceremony.
Being part of Lauren and Brittney’s LGBTQ wedding at The Sagamore meant the world to us. We approach every wedding with a documentary mindset, focusing on real emotions and natural movement. Our goal is always to help our couples feel seen, celebrated, and comfortable. Days like this remind us why we love what we do.
We’re already dreaming about coming back to this incredible venue. The Sagamore offers so many possibilities for couples planning a micro-wedding or full wedding weekend. Every time we shoot here, we find new angles and hidden gems. If you’re planning a Sagamore Bolton’s Landing wedding, we’d love to document it for you.
