Shelby and Gavin’s Envue Hotel wedding took place on a sunny summer day in New Jersey. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we always love an event space with the Manhattan skyline. When over in NJ, you really get iconic views of the city. On this hot day in July, there was thankfully a lovely breeze off the water which helped with the cloudless weather.

These two got ready in their respective hotel rooms in Weehawken. Shelby got ready with her dog Sirius, and it was such a cute moment to capture. Gavin received a letter from his bride, which was a surprise note that had to be read by black light. It was a seriously cool detail to start the day.

The first look took place on the rooftop by the ceremony space. With the wedding party watching on from the balcony, Shelby and Gavin started off their Envue Hotel wedding with so much love. Out in the summer sun, these two basked in each others love on the NYC skyline. Our Westchester wedding photography team always loves to cross the river for moments like this.

After the first look, we took portraits of the couple in the space. Given the humidity, we stayed on the rooftop for most of these NJ wedding photos instead of moving around. The light was dreamy as these two mingled under a blue sky. After that, we took some group photos with the chuppah in the background.

The ceremony was a lovely occasion that featured traditions from both sides of the couple. They lit a unity candle and also stomped on glass. These two recited their vows in private, ahead of the ceremony. That way, they could have time to have their loved ones come up and do readings during the big moment. When it comes to an Envue Hotel wedding, the view is just so lovely.

Cocktail hour took place on the rooftop, with guests taking selfies on the skyline. You can’t go wrong with a sunset view like this. The couple intermingled with guests while their reception room details were being finalized by Intimate Occasions by Ikiya. With florals by Olivia Howard Designs, this event space was transformed into an unforgettable night.
